Connecting a tool

• Notion. Create an internal integration at notion.so/profile/integrations, copy its secret, then share your Handoffbook page with the integration from the page's Connections menu. Paste the secret in the app.
• Airtable. Create a personal access token at airtable.com/create/tokens with the scopes data.records:read and schema.bases:read, add your base under Access, and paste the token in the app.
• Google Sheets. Sign in with Google, allow read-only access to Sheets, and paste the spreadsheet link. The first row of each tab must hold the column names.
• Files. Pick a folder. Each subfolder of Markdown notes and each CSV file becomes a table.

The fix list

When a table or column is missing or renamed, Handoffbook shows a plain-language list of what to add or rename. Nothing is skipped silently. Required tables: Pets, Care Routines, Medications, Contacts, Home Access, Home Systems, Inventory, Maintenance. Required columns are Name everywhere and Species on Pets.

Write-back

Attaching a finished PDF to the record is off by default and asked about on every render. Notion needs the integration to have insert permission; Airtable needs the data.records:write scope and an attachment field named Handoff sheets. PDFs over 5 MiB are not attached.

Purchases

Handoffbook Pro is a one-time purchase. Use "Restore purchases" on the upgrade screen after reinstalling or on a family member's device. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting data

Settings in the app offers "Forget this connection" and "Delete all local data". See the privacy policy for what each removes.
